Campus Life:

The various activities performed in the Navodaya Vidyalaya are as follows :- Physical exercise in the morning : This shall include Jogging, Yoga, Aerobics, Gymnastics, Mass PT & other associated physical exercise activities involving all the children. There activities are supervised by both PETS.

Morning Assembly : Through various activities like prayer, silence, speech, thought for the day, quiz, Book Review, are being organised here. The children are performing the activities house wise guided by the house co-ordinators.

This minimum time framed activity of morning assembly should have maximum effect on the minds + personality of the teachers and students and motivate them to carry on the rest of the day very effectively. Weakly performance are judged by teachers so that they will improve their performance.

Class room teaching - The teaching methodology in the Vidyalaya is updated with optimum utilization of computers, aids, OHP and other education technology science talent promotion of developing scientific spirit :-
All the three labs Physics, Chemistry and Biology lab equipped with computer. Students are learning using numbers of educational CDís and doing many presentations in the computer.
Computerized library facility available in the Vidyalaya. Many reference materials in each subject is available here. Students are free to read magazines and reference books as per their need and interest.

Lot of the recreational facilities are available in the Vidyalaya. Two TVís with TATA Sky connection, LCD projector etc. is available for this purpose. Our Vidyalaya is having a 16 station multigym. Students can use this facility to become physically healthy and energetic. Activities for the year are planned as per the calendar of the activities, every Saturday evening CCA competitions are held. Every student is motivated to participate in the activities. To expose and masters the creativity of the students lot of avenues are provided in the Vidyalaya. Publishing school magazines , conducting competition with outside school,Debates,Youth parliament etc. CCA : Co curricular activities are organized in a systematic & schematic manner so as to develop the capabilities of the children. Every games should help us to identify the sporting talent among the children. By involving all the students for regular participation in sports and games, we would not only boring up sports talents in national & international level but would also facilitate the growth of the personality of the children in term of their hard work, competitive spirit, endurance, accuracy, self confidence and sportsman spirits. The house system, supervisory study, self study, written work, home work, assignments, projects, unit tests, continuous comprehensive evaluation should take cognizance of all the above issues.

Salient Features: JNVST - Entrance test conducted by CBSE on the basis of merit.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Raipur was established in July 1987 in pursuance to the National Policy of Education 1986. The objective of the vidyalaya is to provide free education of highly quality to the talented students of the distinct, hailing from rural areas. Students are selected on a competitive selection test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Selected students are provided free boarding facilities, text books, stationery etc. The admitted children are accommodated in different houses. The effective management of a residential School depends upon the quality of the house system fuctioning of the school. A house consists of children group effectively led by the (House Master/house mistress) who act as a parent, guide, philosopher and friend for every member of the house when the child is admitted in the vidyalaya he/she will be immediately admitting into a house (There are 4 houses Aravali, Nilgiri, Shivalik, Udaigiri) . The houses will create a feeling of oneness not only among the vidyalaya but also among the children who migrate in class IX from one linguistic region to another.
